Kerargon Vihan is well placed for a wide range of interesting places to visit including Pont Aven (a charming very scenic small town with many shops selling local artist paintings and drawings), Concarneau (built as a fortified harbour), Benodet (for restaurants, beach and port), St Marine (a picturesque harbour with good restaurants over looking same, Douarnenez ( small active fishing ports where fresh fish can be bought daily), Audierne, another small port with regular boat link to Ile de sein, Pointe de Penmarch (rugged coastline) and Pointe du Raz, the westerner land of the continent. The main city Quimper is 25 kms away. The beach only 5 miles away is the longest in Brittany, more than 10 miles long from the Bay of Audierne all the way down south to La Torche, the surfing premier spot in Brittany. Kite surfing and kart sailing are also practiced on this beach with the right wind conditions. You can also do horse riding, bird watching and trekking along this well protected seashore. A bit more to the north, the cap sizun area has beautifull treks and scenery. A bit more to the south you will find beautifull beaches facing south between Loctudy and Penmarch. On the way, don't forget to check the open market at Pont-Labbé, capital of the Pays-Bigouden, the traditional name of this district.
